Dig deeper into your planning by creating a task statement for each content area in your planning template. A task statement includes a thinking skill, the content, an icon or two to focus student learning, and a final product to complete. For example, if a content area is science and your students are learning about the rock cycle:
Analyze the parallels, contributions, and patterns of rock formation and the insights geologists gain from fossils. Justify how a geologist might use the universal concept of change to verify the relationship between the rock cycle and fossils by creating an infomercial.
