This cohort is designed for educators, coaches, specialists, and administrators who want to deepen their understanding of the framework and support implementation in practical, sustainable ways.
Participants learn how to integrate Depth & Complexity into existing curriculum and instruction, support colleagues, and serve as an important point of connection between their district and our team as implementation solidifies over time.
The cohort runs throughout the school year, from October through May.
Participants develop a deep understanding of differentiation and how to maximize the learning ceiling for all students. They acquire the tools to effectively prompt critical thinking while supporting Depth and Complexity implementation in their school or district.
Strengthen knowledge of the framework and how it supports rigorous, differentiated instruction across content areas.
Support teachers and teams as they begin integrating Depth & Complexity into existing planning, instruction, and curriculum.
Demonstrate lessons, planning moves, and instructional strategies that help bring the framework to life in authentic ways.
Use observation and reflection tools to help schools assess implementation and think carefully about effectiveness over time.
Serve as an important conduit between your district and J Taylor Education as implementation deepens and expands.
Help move the work forward between formal training days by keeping implementation active, visible, and supported.
Participants who complete the cohort are generally prepared to implement in their own classrooms, support implementation and lead introductory or foundational professional learning within their own school/district. In many cases, that means helping guide planning, modeling practical use of the framework, supporting colleagues, and leading internal professional learning that is typically up to a full day or less.
This is not a certification for independent external training. The Trainer of Trainers cohort is designed to strengthen internal implementation and support meaningful use of the framework within a participant’s own organization. More advanced training, broader rollout, and deeper district support are still best provided through continued partnership with J Taylor Education.
We are excited to launch the 2026–2027 ToT cohort and support educators and leaders who are ready to deepen implementation of the framework.
